‘Will follow Modi model’

At his first press conference after being sworn in on Friday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis pledged to follow the “Modi model of inclusive growth" .

Asked if the irrigation scam would rank high on his government's agenda, Mr Fadnavis said: “All the issues are a priority. Wherever action is necessary, it will be taken. We will start work on all fronts from tomorrow.” Key leaders of the NCP, including former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, are accused of siphoning crores of rupees meant for the project.
