The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted two weeks to slain social activist Narendra Dabholkar’s family to intervene in a Public Interest Litigation petition seeking a CBI probe into the murder case. The family will file an application before the court by March 4.
The petitioner, former journalist Ketan Tirodkar, had recently sought a CBI probe. Earlier, he sought a transfer of the probe from the Pune Police to the National Investigation Agency. He alleged that a senior officer supervising the probe had vested interests as Mr. Dabholkar had busted a racket his relative was running.
