Court takes cognisance of Zee editor’s plaint against Jindal

A magisterial court here on Wednesday took cognisance of a criminal defamation complaint filed by Zee Business editor Samir Ahluwalia against Congress MP Naveen Jindal and others for allegedly making false and defamatory statements about him at a press conference.

Metropolitan Magistrate Navita Kumari took cognisance of the complaint against Mr. Jindal, his firm Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) and its 14 officials, and listed the matter for recording of pre-summoning evidence on March 8.
