Three-judge committee probing allegations of sexual harassment

The three-judge committee constituted by Chief Justice of India P. Sathasivam to probe the charge made by a law intern that she was sexually harassed by a retired Supreme Court judge met on Wednesday and asked her to appear before it for an inquiry at 4.30 p.m. on November 18.

At its first meeting on Tuesday, the committee, comprising Justices R.M. Lodha, H.L. Dattu and Ranjana Desai, discussed the modalities for the probe into the incident which she had referred to on her blog.

Formal letter

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General, Supreme Court, Ravinder Maitheni, formally wrote to the girl, asking her to appear before the panel on November 18 to give an account of the incident.
