The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notice to corporate lobbyist Niira Radia on an application by the publisher of book, Close Encounters with Niira Radia , seeking the vacation of the stay on its release and circulation.

Justice V.K. Jain asked her to file a reply within four weeks. The court will take up the application filed by publisher Har-Anand Publications Pvt. Limited on July 14.

Besides seeking a ban on the book's release, Ms. Radia had sought Rs.1 crore as damages.

On May 25, Justice Jain stayed the release of the book on a petition filed by Ms. Radia submitting that its circulation would damage her reputation in society and violate her fundamental right to life, liberty and privacy.

The book has been written by advocate R.K. Anand and edited by the former executive editor of India Today , Inderjit Badhwar.
