The Central Bureau of Investigation Special Court hearing the 2G spectrum allocation case against the former Union Telecom Minister, A. Raja, and 16 others, on Wednesday adjourned the trial for the rest of the week.
The Judge said he needed sufficient time to consider the complaint case filed by the Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy against Mr. Raja and the then Union Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram.
On January 21, Special Judge O. P. Saini reserved his order on Dr. Swamy's plea to summon Mr. Raja and Mr. Chidambaram to face the prosecution in his complaint case for February 4.
“As complaint case titled ‘Dr. Subramanian Swamy versus A. Raja and others' is coming up for order on February 4, 2012, and which requires sufficient time for consideration, this case [CBI vs A. Raja] would not be listed for February 2 and 3, 2012,” the Special Judge said.
