The first meeting of the newly created Manifesto Committee of the Congress scheduled to be held here on Friday, was cancelled in the wake of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s death.

The 10-member committee headed by MP Ram Prakash would now meet here on Saturday to discuss the preparation of party’s poll manifesto, a party spokesman said here.

The Committee, which also has state Congress president Phul Chand Mullana and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda among others as its members, was recently constituted by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

The committee was formed to oversee preparedness of the party in the Haryana Assembly polls to be held on October 13.
