Nearly 65 patients out of the total 120, who were admitted in various hospitals after inhaling Chlorine gas which leaked from a cylinder near the Bombay Port Trust, have been discharged and none of them are critical, officials said on Thursday.

“Nobody is in critical condition. Most of the patients have been discharged yesterday and this morning,” Dr. P. P. Lahane, Dean of J.J. hospital said.

At least 120 patients were admitted in various hospitals when they took ill after inhaling Chlorine gas.

The civic body officials said that 65 patients were discharged so far and some more are likely to be discharged by evening.

Work to dispose of gas cylinders is underway, officials added.

The police had last night filed an FIR against unidentified persons in connection with the gas leak under various sections of IPC and Environment Protection Act.
