Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said on Tuesday that he would take a decision the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar only after speaking to senior leaders of both the Congress and the NCP.
“I have received Ajit Pawar’s letter that is in the form of a resignation. In his capacity as leader of the NCP Legislative Party, he has suggested alternative arrangements for the portfolios [Finance and Planning, and Power] he has quit. I will take a decision only after conferring with leaders of both parties,” he said, after a meeting of Congress leaders at his residence.
