Chavan: 55-56 injured in Mumbai blasts

55 to 56 persons were injured in the three blasts, which rocked South Mumbai on Wednesday evening, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithivraj Chavan said.

“As per preliminary reports, about 55 to 56 persons have been injured in the three blasts and they have been rushed to St. George, Nair and KEM hospitals,” Chavan told PTI .

He said there is no official confirmation on number of casualties yet. Chavan said State ATS officials are at the spots to ascertain the nature of the blasts.

He said blasts were reported in Panchratna building in Diamond Market area at Opera House, Bank of India branch in Zaveri Bazaar near Mumbadevi temple and Kabutar Khana near Hanuman temple in Dadar West.
