His remarks came as the NIA alleged that Indore-based Chauhan had undergone training in arms and explosives in Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
Kamal Chauhan, a disgruntled former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh worker arrested by the National Investigation Agency, on Tuesday claimed that he had planted bombs on board the Samjhauta Express in 2007. The blast left 68 people, mostly Pakistanis, dead.
“Yes, I have done it on my will,” Chauhan told journalists as he was being taken out after in-camera proceedings in the Panchkula court, which granted the NIA his custody till February 24 for questioning him on his role in the blast on the Delhi-Lahore train.
His remarks came as the NIA alleged that Indore-based Chauhan had undergone training in arms and explosives in Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
“Investigations reveal that Chauhan, along with Ramchandra Kalasangra alias Ramji and Lokesh Sharma, also charged in the case, planted the explosives on the train at Old Delhi, from where the train originates,” NIA Special Prosecutor R.K. Handa said.
“We have to unearth his complete involvement and association. During investigations, it has come to light that Chauhan underwent extensive training in handling of weapons and explosives. He took training at the Karni Singh shooting range in Faridabad [Haryana] and a register seized by the CBI on August 10, 2011 has the entries of his name in that shooting range. He also took explosives and arms training at Bagli in Dewas [Madhya Pradesh],” he said.

Kudos to NIA. It would be still more great if the pending cases are
brought to their logical end without much delay, because such delays
are causing more attacks / bombings and more deaths to happen at the
hands of unsocial elements.
There must be immediate actions after judgements are delivered. Delay
in the process - especially by the ruling side, by keeping the files
aside without action, escalates hatred among communities. Sparing the
rod only spoils the child and here the victim is not the child but the
nation, India. Those who say day in and day out that they are very
very big secularists & nationalists should ponder over their attitude.
Their shielding the guilty people by delay in procedure brings about frustration & hatred between communities. Hatred breeds only hatred.
Is it not a Great Achievement for the officers to get the suspect confess to the media that he planted the bombs. Will this be sustained before a court of law-after the election mania gets over. Hope similar achievements will follow in other cases in which the agencies involved are not succeeding or their findings are ridiculed by leaders of ruling parties and senior ministers
Unfortunately, as usual, at first Muslims were blamed for the bomb blast, but now it is made clear that it is the RSS which was the master mind of the blast. It should not be allowed to blame a community for any violence without any witness....Now the Indian patriot Chauhan says he did at his own will. People are fool to believe his words, then how about the blacksheeps which trained him, funded him. It is the RSS and BJP are the terrorists that responsible for this blood shed.
The RSS is doing a disservice to the Nation by brainwashing the youth to hate their fellow countrymen. In its place, had it done some constructive job like asking them to be non-corrupt, honest and think of some productive jobs that enhance the possibility of our nation becoming economically, socially stronger and get some good name in the world. It is a great appreciable job of the investigating agency to arrest a member of the powerful Sangh Parivar RSS. Kudos to NIA. It would be still more great if the case is brought to its logical end without much delay, because such delays are causing more such bombings and more deaths to happen at the hands of such unsocial elements. Sparing the rod only spoils the child and here the victim is not the child but the nation, India. Those who say day in and day out that they are very very big nationalists should ponder over their attitude and return to the national mainstream. Hatred breeds only hatred.
So many innocent lives were lost for some crazy people's crazy ideology. Hope prosecution will not budge to political pressure and will present the case well with evidence and will and justice will be delivered at least in this case.
In such terror activities there is always a connection between collective past suffering and present individual actions. Extremist use this as a Justification. And to turn that into Public Policy by Indian Political Parties is Catastrophic. What if this particular view of religious extremism and Political Leadership is continued to be Bulldozed onto the Indian Public, what if there is a Backlash? It can be clearly "Envisaged" Panacea: Uniform Civil Code: Same set of secular civil laws to govern all people irrespective of their religion, caste and tribe. (I am sure Lawmakers know about this, but Indian Public got to demand it in next elections for there own safety)
