The Union government may file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict in the 2G spectrum case cancelling 122 licences issued to telecom companies. This was indicated by senior Congress leader and AICC general secretary in-charge of party affairs in Uttar Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, here on Friday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kshatriya Seva Samithi, he said the telecom companies, which were issued licences, had invested heavily in infrastructure. The verdict had put the huge investment at stake and it was the responsibility of the government to find a way out of the issue.
The review petition would also keep up the morale of investors, Mr. Singh said.
