Centre opposes Supreme Court monitoring investigation into 2G spectrum allocation case

The Centre on Thursday informed the Supreme Court that the 15 fresh documents submitted by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy against Home Minister P. Chidambaram (who was formerly Finance Minister) would be studied and considered by the CBI in its next status report on its probe into the 2G spectrum allocation case.

Appearing for the Centre, senior counsel P.P. Rao, in a written note submitted to a Bench of Justices G.S. Singhvi and A.K. Ganguly, said: “The new documents filed for the first time before this court will be studied and considered by the CBI as usual and may by covered in the next status report.”
