CBI registers case over sailor’s death

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a murder case in connection with the suspicious death of an Indian sailor on July 21, 2015 on board a ship bearing Cyprus flag near Sri Lanka.

The vessel on its way from China to Fujairah in the UAE. It was earlier alleged that the sailor had committed suicide. “The case has been registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by sailor Satyanarayan Singh’s son Sunil. A conspiracy has been alleged, said a CBI official.
