Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials escort former Home Minister of Gujarat Amit Shah to the CBI office in Gandhinagar, Ahmadabad on Saturday.

The former Gujarat Minister of State for Home, Amit Shah, was grilled by CBI officials here on Saturday in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh-Kausar Bi murder case.

Sources in the CBI said the interrogation might resume on Sunday.

Counsel for Mr. Shah, Mitesh Amin and Yatin Oza, were present during the interrogation.

On Friday, the Gujarat High Court granted the CBI two-day custodial remand of Mr. Shah.

On Saturday morning, the CBI officials reached the Sabarmati Central Jail, where Mr. Shah is lodged, and brought him to the CBI office. The sources said one of the main issues that remained the focal point of the interrogation pertained to the details of his phone calls to the police officers concerned during the Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati encounters.
