The CBI has released a brother-sister duo, whom it detained for questioning in the murder case of Noida schoolgirl Aarushi following the recovery of her mobile phone from them.

Ramphool and his sister Kusum were detained and interrogated by the investigating agency on Tuesday to recreate the journey of the phone from Noida to Bulandshahr where it was recovered by the Delhi Police on Saturday, official sources said.

Aarushi and her domestic help Hemraj were killed 16 months ago at her Noida residence.

The CBI has sent the Nokia N-72 phone for forensic analysis to establish if the phone actually belongs to Aarushi and to see if any information could be retrieved from it.
