The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed its final report in the case relating to Swami Shankar Dev, Guru of Baba Ramdev, who has been missing since 2007.

The final report was filed on Wednesday when the CBI, after having probed the case for over a year and a half, could not succeed in tracing Shankar Dev.

Shankar Dev went missing from Haridwar’s Kankhal area in 2007.

The police was investigating the case since 2007, but having failed in tracing the Guru, the police filed its final report in 2012. The missing complaint was changed to a case of kidnapping before the CBI took over the case.

The case was then transferred to the CBI on the State Government’s request, and it started investigating the case in April 2013.

The hearing in the case is scheduled for January 12, 2015.
