CBI begins probe into audio clip

Members of the prosecution team, besides those involved in the probe into the 2G spectrum scam case, are being examined by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the controversial audio clip consisting purported conversations between a sacked CBI public prosecutor and an accused in the case.

After the audio clip contained in a compact disc was made available to the agency by an unknown source, the agency registered a preliminary enquiry and removed the public prosecutor, A.K. Singh.
