Building under demolition collapses in Delhi, one dead

A four-storey residential building that was being demolished collapsed in the early hours of Saturday in Jafrabad area of northeast Delhi, leaving one person dead and fifteen injured, police said.

“The collapse happened at 2.05 a.m. One person died and 15 others received minor injuries,” a police official said.

“The victims were labourers. They were engaged in the building’s demolition when it collapsed. Fifteen labourers were rescued from the site, while one man named Furkan died,” the police official said.
