BSP chief Mayawati on Saturday condemned the heckling of Chief Ministers at public functions, saying such “indecent” behaviour by BJP and RSS workers would only weaken the federal structure.

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her press conference at the party headquarters here, she said that three months were enough to see the sprouting of “Achhe Din” (good days). “No solid, or effective steps have been taken, nor has a road map been created, disenchantment was evident,” she said.

Merely calling himself a “Pradhan Sevak” will not do. Peace and prosperity to the people has to be ensured, she said and added that the BJP won the Lok Sabha elections by making tall assurances meant to mislead the people. “The SP had resorted to the same tactics in the 2012 Assembly elections,” she added.

Despite forming a Government at the Centre, the BJP could muster only 31 per cent vote in the country, which meant 69 per cent voters have rejected the BJP and Mr. Narendra Modi, she said.

She dismissed the possibility of the Dalits being weaned away by the BJP and said they would not be misled. On the SP Government’s reported decision to hire a PR agency, the BSP chief said it was an attempt to divert the people’s attention.

Ms Mayawati declared that her party would form the next Government in U.P. and she would be back as CM.
