Victims were visually impaired minors in Delhi

A 54-year-old British national has been arrested here for allegedly sodomising three visually impaired minor inmates of the a non-governmental organisation in south Delhi, police said on Monday.

Frequent visitor

The police were informed on Sunday about the incident.

During inquiry, the alleged involvement of Murray Denis Ward, the Britisher and a frequent visitor to the institute, came to light, the police said.

Regular donor

They said the British national had been associated with the NGO as a regular donor for almost nine years.

Ward, who was subsequently arrested, allegedly sexually harassed the three inmates of the NGO on September 2, police said.

His cell phone was being examined, the police said, adding that they had found a couple of “objectionable” video clips from his laptop.

Ward, a native of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, was working with Sterlite Technology Limited in Gurgaon till April.

The British national had suffered a severe paralytic attack in February this year.

Ward has been undergoing medical treatment since then.
