A pair of handrafted bookends made of wood, marble and silver and a book - this is what U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron was presented with by PM Modi on the second day of Mr Modi's U.K. visit.
The centerpiece of each of these bookends is a silver bell, "an object of rich symbolism relating to inner wisdom and tidings, which has a verse from the Bhagavad Gita etched in Sanskrit, along with its English meaning along the inside rim," said a statement from Mr. Modi's website.
Mr. Modi also presented Mr. Cameron with David Omissi’s book titled Indian Voices of the Great War.
The book was presented in view of PM Cameron’s fondness for Robert Graves’ work on World War I Goodbye to All That. >@David_Cameron
