October 30, 2014 12:35 am | Updated October 18, 2016 01:13 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah will register themselves afresh as BJP members at the party central office here on Saturday. The BJP plans to launch a fresh drive using several communication tools, including the social media, to enrol as many members as possible. The party has 3.25 crore members on its rolls. As per the party’s norm, at the end of every six years, all members have to register themselves afresh. Normally, the party enhances its membership by 20 per cent over the previous years but this time, a resurgent BJP expects to break all records.

Seeking to consolidate people’s support during elections, the party will raise the slogan “Shakta BJP, Shakta Bharat”.
