BJP to hold talks with PDP on terrorism

The BJP will not compromise on national security, and the party does not feel that its coalition government with the Peoples Democratic Party in Jammu and Kashmir is under any threat following the recent developments in the Valley. Running a majority government in New Delhi, the party intends to take it up with the PDP to come to a long-term solution on terrorism and strengthen surveillance.

“The recent developments in Kashmir have proved that the BJP, despite so many political compulsions, cannot be compelled to compromise on any issue of national importance,” its national spokesman, Sudhanshu Trivedi, said here“As far as the BJP is concerned, there will be no compromise on principles, terrorism and separatism. We are satisfied that this has been accepted by the Chief Minister,” Minister of State in the PMO Jitender Singh told The Hindu .
