The BJP is considering approaching the Supreme Court to appraise it of the CBI “exceeding its brief and foraying into alien terrain” while investigating the Sohrabuddin Sheikh alleged fake encounter case, party's national vice-president Purshottam Rupala said on Wednesday.
Mr. Rupala, a former president of the BJP's Gujarat unit, said the party had kept “all its options open” in this regard. The party would further intensify its agitation if the CBI “did not mend its ways.”
He said, “We will fight against it at all levels, in the streets, in Parliament, as well as in the court.”
