The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not thrilled at the praise heaped on its senior leader L.K. Advani by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh, saying he “lost all credibility” and keeps changing his views on his support to the UPA government.
Responding to questions, BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters, “The praise by a person whose personal credibility is lost is of no relevance. One day he pledges support to the government, the next day he withdraws it, on the third day he praises a leader and then backs out.”
He wondered if the praise was because the CBI was troubling Mr. Singh or he had struck a deal with the Congress.
“Mr. Singh’s statement is full of frustration. Nobody is ready to believe that he wants to abandon the UPA. The BJP does not take any of Mr. Singh's statements seriously,” Mr. Rudy added.
