The Bharatiya Janata Party has blamed the Congress for the logjam in Parliament during the winter session and reiterated its demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the 2G spectrum scam.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said the party was ready for a probe into the telecom-related matters during its regime. “If the government wants, it can conduct a probe from 1994. We have nothing to hide.”

“It is not just the National Democratic Alliance which wants a JPC probe; even some of the ruling coalition's members want it. If the Congress doesn't order a JPC probe on Monday, we will take this battle to the people. We will launch protests similar to those in 1974 under the leadership of JP [Jayaprakash Narayan], or the 1987 protest against the Bofors issue,” he said.
