Biren Singh faces flak over key appointments

Two early decisions by Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh have sparked off a row, which threatens to snowball. First, it was the CM appointing Rajat Kumar Sethi as his advisor and then his decision to appoint a lawyer from Andhra Pradesh as new Advocate General. Both the decisions are being opposed by students and Opposition Congress on the ground that they do not speak Manipuri.
