Bhopal gas tragedy is a closed case now: U.S.

The United States said on Friday the Bhopal gas tragedy was a closed case now.

State Department Spokesman P.J. Crowley was answering reporters' questions on the issue. Later, the State Department official clarified that legally the case was closed.

Sympathy and concern

“We have interacted with the Indian government on the Bhopal issue. On an ongoing basis going back many years, we've expressed our sympathy and concern about the impact that this had on the people of India.”
