Bharat bandh by united opposition

The nation-wide Bharat bandh to protest against the diesel price hike, FDI in multi-brand retail and the cap on subsidised LPG evoked a mixed response. The BJP-led NDA, Left parties and some UPA constituents such as Samajwadi Party and DMK, besides Trinamool Congress, hit the streets with a rare unity.
