“None of our staff members was hurt. We presented the bill to them at 12.30 a.m. but they refused to pay. Then the police were called,” Fazal Sheikh, general manager of the restaurant and bar, Escobar, told The Hindu .

Police registered a case under Sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code read with 66 (1) of the Bombay Prohibition Act.
