Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday said he would once again take up with the Centre the issue of the safe and prompt return of 39 residents of the State who are suspected to be trapped in Iraq for the past several months. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Sangat Darshan in the Lambi Assembly segment, Mr. Badal said while his government has been pursuing the matter with the Ministry of External Affairs, it has now also asked the Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal and other Akali MPs to take up the matter with the Centre.

He said the government was concerned about the well-being of those trapped in Mosul.
