A special Central Bureau of Investigation court fixed April 27 as the next date of hearing in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

As lawyers had boycotted work on Friday in support to social activist Anna Hazare, Chief Judicial Magistrate of the special court Vishnu Prasad Agarwal posted the matter for April 27.

A CBI witness, Haji Mohammad, was supposed to be cross examined on Friday.

The special court is trying the mosque demolition case in which Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani and seven others are the accused.

Earlier, senior IPS officer Anju Gupta, who was deployed as security officer with Mr. Advani on December 6, 1992, had appeared before the court.
