Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday night faced the ire of angry relatives, who alleged that there was delay in the handing over of bodies of those killed in the Delhi High Court blast.

The relatives surrounded Mr. Azad at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and complained to him that despite a ten-hour wait, they were not handed over the bodies.

N.K. Gupta, relative of victim Nalini Aggarwal (55), alleged that the family got a confirmation of her death at 12 noon but the post- mortem was not conducted till late night.

Mr. Azad told the angry relatives that no one expected such an emergency. He told them that the authorities were doing whatever they could do. “We are taking every step to ensure that such things don't recur,” Mr. Azad said.
