It is a shame that congress candidate Ms Amita Singh lost in Amethi where from Ms Sonia Gandhi gets elected successively after Nehru dynasty. This speaks for her self-introspection since entire family including daughter and son-in-law was campaigning in this constituency. It is after all people as voters decide who should draft Lokpal bill and not five wise men of her party.
Similarly, Salman Khursheed should also see the writings on the wall and have self-introspection. He was the main person to buy votes for his beloved wife from his community by announcing 9% reservation for muslims. Our muslim brothers and sisters cannot be befooled by Salaman representing congress.
Time and again the so called illiterates of the rural uttar pradesh have
given the judgement in lucid way.Inheritance also should be decorated
with personal ambitions for the betterment of the society and not
prompted and guided by every body on the street and the forlorn
politicians.
It is no surprise and natural justice that a saffron party should rule
the Land of God (Deva Bhoomi-akka-Uttranchal) rather than by a party
which mismanaged and still mismanaging the country since Independence
and indulging shamelessly in appeasement of minorities in the name of
Secularism
Mulayam Singh Yadav could be elected CM by "popular demand" But the actual governance should be left to Akilesh who seems to be a good man of fine mettle. He is young liberal and more open than his father. He should make all moves behind the curtain. He will do well to consult Nitish Kumar, Narendra Modi for guidance.
The election results in the UP indicate that the people have voted the SP in a decisive manner. They have rejected the corrupt Mayawati government. The Rahul factor also has not paid rich dividends for the Congress party. The Congress has a lot of spade work to be do before the 2014 general election by refraining from indulging in corruption. The dismal performance by the BJP needs a thorough introspection and revisit of the policies adopted by the party so far. The SP is going to form the government there. But it should not repeat the past mistakes and work for the welfare of the people of the state.
It's good to note that the congress party's communalising agenda has come a cropper. A decisive vote against mayavati government is evident. The BJP has pulled a surprise by not only making inroads in BSP and SP strongholds but also by getting them translated into votes. Great show.
