India will share with Pakistan evidences on involvement of elements of that country in uploading morphed images posted on the internet to incite people that led to the exodus of northeast people from different parts of the country.
Home Secretary R.K. Singh said that during Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malik, Mr. Shinde conveyed that New Delhi will share with Islamabad all evidences related to involvement of certain groups and individuals who uploaded morphed images and videos. “We will share (evidence) with them,” he told reporters in New Delhi.
Mr. Malik had said on Sunday that New Delhi has not yet shared any evidence which suggested involvement of Pakistani elements in the cyber attack.
Asked about these elements having any link with the ISI, Mr. Singh said it was difficult to name those behind the attack at this stage. “You do not know who is behind it. To say or to deny that a particular organisation was or was not linked with any one is difficult. But some photographs have names of one or two organisations (of Pakistan),” he said.
The Home Secretary also said that the technical investigation has come to the conclusion that many images were uploaded to these websites in Pakistan.

What a complete mess the Indian government is in. The Pak authorities will laughing their heads off. Pak only has to start sms and internet 'war' against India and there is complete chaos in Indian society. There is no need to invade India. The Indian government should have acted sternly against the Mumbai violence and any websites threatening the NE people. But as usual playing 'vote-bank politics', the Center failed to act on any issue and allows the illegal migrants from Bangladesh to stay in Assam.
If Indian Government has solid evidence on the issue concerned, it should act unilaterally and settle the matter, rather than provide Pakistan Government with the proofs and asking it to act. How long we want to be a victim of diplomacy psychosis, which is nothing but a synonym for weakness and helplessness in the case of Pakistan? We have tried this course of action umpteen number of times to no avail. Our government is under the influence of americanism these days. I don't know as to where it will take us in other matters, but if we follow its policy on punishing the enemy, it will certainly do a lot of good to our country.
