While he is still expected to announce his complete future strategy about his campaign against black money and corruption, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday gave ample indication about his plans: he intends to raise and train 10 lakh “core” volunteers and about one crore volunteers in all to bring about a Mahakranti (revolution) in the country. The volunteers, he has said, will go through three to six months of “training” at Hardwar.
“We waited till Saturday for any response from the government but now a “Mahakranti” will rise from Ramlila Maidan. We follow the peaceful ideology of Gandhiji but we also follow the path of revolution,” the yoga guru said, while addressing the thinning crowd of his supporters.
On the last day of his three-day “symbolic” fast, he said it would be “disgraceful” if “some dishonest person” were to hoist a tricolour.
“If a person with clean hands hoists the tricolour, it will raise the country’s prestige. It will really be a disgrace if some dishonest person hoists the national flag. It would be hypocrisy if you have the tricolour in your hand but not in the heart,” he said.
Baba Ramdev stepped up his criticism of the Central government after it did not respond to his three-day ultimatum, which ended on Saturday evening, to act on his demands that included passing of the Lokpal Bill in the ongoing session of Parliament and bringing back the black money stashed abroad.
Claiming to have the support of “hundreds” of Members of Parliament (MPs), he vowed to soon approach the President with millions of support letters from MPs and the public to press his demands.
“We are going to meet the President with the support letters of 225 MPs and more 1.25 lakh gram sabhas. We will urge him to pressure the government to take swift action on our demands.”
‘Congress MPs back me’
Claiming to have the support of several Congress MPs too, he said they were not coming out openly for fear of being suspended from the party.
“The Congress MPs, who support our campaign, told me they cannot come out in public as it would jeopardise their political career.”
The yoga guru said it was imperative for the government to respond to the call of millions of people across the country even if it wanted to ignore his call.

Absolute farce. I still can't believe the masses are going behind this
guy. Land grab from farmers; tax evasion; bogus property dealings etc.,
Sounds familiar right? But I'm not talking about politicians; it's this
self proclaimed yoga guru. Go figure. If we as a nation still go by such
bogus rhetoric, then god save us!
Revolution. Seriously? What good is this going to do for the people? Why dont we pick something much more immediately needed for the country? Why dont the swamy consider starting a revolution to construct lavatories for basic hygiene in all villages and towns of India?
Good luck Guru Ramdevji. It seems your intention is right and you have
brought thousands of people just to fight for the right cause. Congress
family rule which is making India downtrodden well over more than few
decades is to be removed at any cost.If any revolution brings that
change, it will be welcomed by almost all nationalist Indians. You take
a side with Mr Narendra Modi, the Iron Man of India and change the
destiny of India forever.
Ramdev is backed up (in disguise) by the political finesse of
Subramanian Swamy.
Together, they have already launched ACACI few months back.
This wont fizz out like earlier movements.
Kranti for bring back black money is a good idea. The success
or failure of the kranti depends on the people. Merely branding
anything as failure is an easy route to escape from
responsibility.Anna Hazare,s movement against corruption failed
because people behind the movement was not steady.If one considers
this as second freedom movement led by a man like Gandhi, we are sure
to succeed. we are not doing things to get at the bottom of the truth.
With patience what we are attempting is achievable.
Baba Ram Dev is fighting for a great cause. Citizens of the country
should cooperate with him in this noble mission instead of questioning
his honesty and integrity. He may have earned a lot of money but as a
matter of fact he has done so by virtue of great social service that he
has rendered by way of giving new heights to yoga. He has earned
international fame as such. There are some unscrupulous elements that
are maligning him just to disparage his great achievement as a yoga
revolutionist.
let us start with Kranti. this is not mahabharat where every tom, dick and harry is mahayodha.By fasting and shouting slogans may amuse a toddler but not the politicians which you claim to hate or the common man.
Guruji go back to your teaching YOGA people in India know what grimicks
you trying to play & earn billions from the Goverment by blackmailing
them, why donot you give up the huge illegal amount you have tashed up
in your ashmrams
One Mahakranti never will or does happen. Only the sum total of many upa-krantis will make a mahakranti ..... you need to persist with your stand for years, tens of them perhaps, before you can get any tangible results on the issues you speak of....
At independence India was the most advanced of all colonies, with the best prospects for growth and prosperity. While Indians are doing well in most Western nations, India has failed miserably due to the greedy and corrupt politicians who are responsible for all the mess in India. Can anyone imagine that the current Indian regime is run by an Italian woman and the Malayalee mafias? Is Mohandas Gandhi's and others struggle for independence really a waste?

Medical Council of India has not framed any rules that one faster who seeks revival in ICCU of adverse party is permanently banned from sitting on another gimmick. I have forgotten as to how many times I had made you promise and believe that I would fast till death. I have not achieved any thing for you. But i would keep on misleading you.'
Like Baba Ramdev, other prominent people should start and knock at the doors of law makers to end corruption, violence and mockery. Indians need to have a fresh revolution for freedom, democracy, human rights, transparency and rule of law as the UPA regime has failed to deliver. Indian democracy is the weakest democracy on earth and it is full of corruption and mockery.
Ramdev is talking NONSENSE. If the President himself is the chief accomplice in the
black money migration where's the question of getting anything done through him?
If the President had to act then he would have acted only when he was
union finance minister thereby avoiding present condition of
Indian economy.
