Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was admitted to the Global Hospitals and Health City at Perumbakkam, near Tambaram in Chennai, is in a stable condition. He needs to be under observation for two more days.

This was all the spokesperson of the hospital told reporters, who spent an entire day there on Tuesday. There was no medical bulletin or briefing from doctors.

The spokesperson said the hospital was unable to part with any further information on a request from the Minister’s family, including wife Vaishali and son Ritesh.
