Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare and yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday launched a joint offensive against the government yet again, stating that it was in ‘no mood’ to create change in the country.
At a press conference here, the duo announced a plan to launch two agitations, for passing a strong Lokpal Bill and bringing back black money stashed away in foreign countries.
In two separate ‘andolans’ to be held on July 25 and August 9, the government will see people on the streets, asking for change, Mr. Ramdev said. “The atmosphere in the country is ripe for a change, but people are losing hope the government will bring it.”
“Aage ki ladhai mil kar ladhenge (The battle will now be fought together),” Mr. Hazare said. However, asked about the plan of action in the two agitations, the duo said the “agenda” would be decided in the days to come. “We will take advice from all the good people across the country and decide the plan of action,” Mr. Hazare said.
Reiterating his demand on bringing back money hoarded abroad, Mr. Ramdev said the government was not serious on addressing the issue. “Why is it scared? Is it because the government feels its own people will be caught?” he asked.
Mr. Hazare stated that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had taken no action against the 14 ministers with corruption charges.
Asked if he had met Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid to find a via media, Mr. Hazare said that he would answer the question at the ‘right time.’ There has been speculation that Mr. Hazare met the senior Congress politician without the knowledge of his team members. “Transparency should be practised at the right time. If not, I will be put in jail,” he said.

Don't know why some people going against Anna and his team. Are all
these from different planet or have any personal adverse effect? Are
they not aware of what's going around them? Anywhere you go you can't
do any thing without bribe. Worm the hands of babus you will see no
laws will hinder to pass any bills for payment. Developments are not up to the mark only because of corruptions. In every channels one can
see how much deterioration of services has come down to the bottom.
Irrespective of cast/creed and religions every one must join hands
with Anna and his team to fight with all these corrupt leaders. I am
very much sure if this Congress party looses this time and other
party comes, scenarios of corruptions will to some extant come down .
At least Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare are doing some of their duty as a citizen of India, and we people who never have some time to think about country, just criticise them. Have we done anything for our country or its people? We are supporting foreign products to invade in India but at least Ramdev is trying to promote "Swadeshi". It may be his business but there is no harm doing swadeshi business. He is promoting Yoga which can prevent many health problems. @Pankaj Singh, You said correctly Baba Ramdev could enjoy his wealth but he is going village by village and awakening people is appreciable, Before this nobody even heard about Black money.
On seeing two people coming together to fight against corruption and bringing back black money into India give me really very peace and happinness.
The need of the hour is to change the perceptions of the leaders between the power of the people and the Parliament. In democracy, it is the voice of the people that is important. I am happy that both crusaders have come close and hit jointly instead of frittering away.
@Mohan:What more evidence do you need against the government? Aren't the scams, road conditions, illiteracy enough?
Responsible peope,particularly the middleclass should support the movement for thier own benefit.

3)Confiscating the ill gotten money from Politicians,Babus and the Industrialists MUST be the demands Hazariji should never compromise.
Next Right to Reject should be the next target.
No criminal should be allowed to contest elections.
Once it comes into LAW/ACT,the same politicians will run around to clear thier names in a jiffy
Mr Hazare and Baba Ramdev, both are mass appeal leaders of
disillusioned poor/middle class.What the masses want is good
governance. This can be achieved by providing quality representatives
during elections. But do we have many of them going by the present
scenario. I do not find a single individual with that sort of quality
who can be selfless and vie for serving the people. So first of all we
have to inculcate patriotism in the young minds who can turn as our
cherished leaders in future. If this path is not followed, then
desired corruption free society can not be achieved.
The present methods of Hazare and Ramdev is unlikely to yield are
result except demise of both without leaving any spectacular history
to be followed by next generations.
@VUMR You may be right in highlighting the "local & on-the-ground" issues. But, let us not confuse civic responsibilities with national agitation on policy and legal issues. People living close to the bus terminus need to take care of it by themselves and if they are ready to live with the filth then so be it.
People of India today find their voice resonating in the voice of Baba Ramdev & Anna Hazare. From history we learn that when ever power accumulates in few hands corruption is inevitable because of involved human beings. Now in democracy the power is given to representatives and in today's date it is the best possible method of giving power. But it does not make people in power from getting corrupt. They can not be treated as saints and possibility of them indulging in corruption is not zero. Despite the fact they are chosen by a democratic method. Hence a need for a strong Lokpal who will not have any other power but have very strong powers to stop corruption by our leaders. Annaji & Baba Ramdev ji are putting their heart & soul to get Jan Lokpal Bill passed. While Ramdev could have enjoyed with his wealth & Anna doesnot have any vested interest. Both are ascetic but for the betterment of people & nation have taken this resolve. I urge you all to come out of all your prejudices & fear for cause of Bringing Black Money Home & passing Jan Lokpal Bill.
Hazare, Ramdev continue tirade against UPA: These nice people instead of fighting with Govt. on corruption etc., should visit New Delhi Bus Terminus and see for themselves the plight of commuters. Place looks so bad that people will vomit. Toilets and roads with ditchepot holes are so bad that one feels shy to say it is the capital of India. If capital city is in this condition,just imagine the situation in the states. People are tolerating all gimmicks of politicians. Please start the revolution from these places. Govt has to bend and change. Let media take pictures of these places and show them if they are really interested in improving state of affairs in the country. Automatically corruption will go.
The shrinking heads of Ramdev and Anna Hazare and his god forsaken team have made them the laughing stocks of the entire community... someone please tell these self appointed, autocratic so called members of the civil society that they have already shamed the civil society with their antics and foul languages!!
What started as a sincere anti-corruption movement that had briefly captured the zeitgeist, had first morphed into partisan bickering, and has now degenerated into a fully fledged farce. While Team Anna had initially captured my imagination, they have sorely disappointed ever since. Again and again they come up with accusations against the Congress, not one of which has any evidence. After months of chipping away at Team Anna's credibility, one hopes the Congress delivers a coup-de-grace this time.
