A controversy erupted at the fast venue when Baba Ramdev objected to Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal naming and accusing some senior politicians, including the Prime Minister, of corruption.
Mr. Kejriwal reiterated his demand for a Special Investigation Team, independent of the Prime Minister, unlike the CBI, which will investigate all charges of corruption against the 15 Union Cabinet Ministers and politicians, including Mulayam Singh, Mayawati, Parkash Singh Badal and Jayalalithaa. He said the SIT could probe Team Anna members and Baba Ramdev.
The yoga guru then objected to the naming of politicians stating that he was not opposed to individuals and that this would divert attention from the black money issue and the Lok Pal Bill. Mr. Kejriwal soon left the fast venue, triggering speculation that he left because of the “snub.”
However, both Baba Ramdev, at the fast venue itself, and Mr. Kejriwal, on Twitter, rubbished these suggestions stating that he left because he was unwell and had told Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev before doing so.
Mr. Kejriwal tweeted: “I had to leave fast venue bcoz I am v unwell. I told this to Anna and swamiji. It is wrong to say that I left in protest. I have greatest respect for swamiji (sic).” Defending his action, he again tweeted: “This is a political battle and we will have to name and shame and demand severe action against corrupt people. I will personally speak to Swami Ramdev ji. I am sure I will be able to persuade him that naming is important.”

Team Anna is doing a service by clearly naming those against whom charges of
corruption have been leveled. These politicians are the ones who need to be
investigated. If the names of these politicians are not released, people will be left
confused about who is honest and who is not.
Dear Rajan, This fight is against the devil called corruption as a whole and not against agents of devil. Naming the agents of devil will not serve any purpose. Fighting the devil head on is the target of the day. To be frank todays opposition party is tomorrows ruling party and vice versa. Dont take them in to confidence. All politicians are same.
If the major part of ministry is corrupt upto neck. How would one expect
to ask them. Without name, It works with those having morality and
credibility but they lack in both. Kejarival did right thing, about
Baba I would say Baba "learn from mistakes" this line is for everybody
applicable for you also.
Mr. Kejrival is right, it seems that Baba Ramdev is an agent of Congress and I feel he remember's what had happened last year, how he left from Ram Leela Maidan, wearing a Saree, he is so much scared and he was afraid that anything can be happened, that is the reason why he is worrying to take the name of the politicians.
@Rajan: It is not a good idea to go after certain individuals because: (a) It gives credence to the suggestions that Team Anna is targeting people selectively, especially when the 'naming and shaming' is being done without clear proof. (b) This is not a battle against only certain persons, this is a battle against all corrupt and should be promoted as such.
Why be scared of 'naming'? What does Ramdev mean that we are fighting corruption and not individuals??!! It is the 'individuals' who are 'corrupt' that contribute to 'corruption' !! So...if one is reasonably sure about someone being corrupt, we HAVE to name them and let the investigation and law take its course (for which we need a strong Lok Pal Bill)This country is doomed, unless the citizens stop 'talking' and start 'acting' by each one changing himself/herself first.
Kejiriwal and team (it is evident that Anna is losing credibility
and is perceived by a majority of his old supporters as a helpless
puppet in this game) must get their head examined for trying to
force anarchy in this country in the name of fighting corruption.
There can NEVER be an institution NOT DIRECTLY elected by the
people of this country that can wield powers that he speaks of for
the independent LOK PAL machine.
The crap that the Kejiriwal team is calling for is nothing short
of empowering another bureaucracy which he comes out of - being
accountable to no one in particular in real terms. So that
another crony capitalism can replace the one we have.
Our constitution is well thought out and flexible enough to give
us what we really want. What we truly need is clean up at the top
and stringent no second chance rules for our politicians,
bureaucracy and judiciary.
What we need also need are dynamic social leaders. Not pseudo
leaders, anarchists like the Kejriwal and team.
He has the highest respect for an individual who has a business empire
of 1000 crores and owns an island in the UK. But he castigates many
politicians including the PM for acts of policy, where no mala fide has
been shown. What are we to make?
Naming anyone is not going to help. One has to name the scandal that took place and get all those involved to face the court. Its simple , effective and unbiased
Mr. Kejriwal, as a "stupid common man" like me is very much disappointed about your unrest and quit yourself from the venue .
I want to tell you some factors: If there is no Anna Hazareji there is no Team Anna. If there is no Baba Ramdevji there is no Anti corruption Movement. You are there because they are there. If you quit yourself from the venue means there is a facist in your mind. Facist never suffer any criticism! Either they will kill their enimies or they will express their wrath through other ways.Please be patient with others and behave wisefully in public functions because you people are the corrective force of Indian politics and the whole world is watching you and assessing you how much you people are suitable for this historical and important job.Simply you can think that if Annaji can "suffer" that criticism, why cant you? Still we hope that you can also lead this movement with utmost endurance and audacity.Thanks.
A noble CAUSE will pull the crowd no doubt. But equally important is the level of sincerity and honesty from the activists. The natural fact is that noble cause often is overshadowed by the character and integrity of the crusaders that the people's support eventually dies down. Every sensible Indian will give his/her support to the CAUSE Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare fight for, but they need to do more than that by making themselves clean. Clean the bowl to receive the milk.
Kejriwal departure form jantar mantar is nonetheless a positive sign atop their tincture against embezzlement and stashed black money clearly indicates that they still need clear consensus before any steadfast, it may been faltering their individual congruity.
People who care about themselves, their children, their grandchildren - ie India - will STAY FOCUSED on addressing the issues, at all times, namely, eradicating national plunder and severely curtailing corruption in the country! HOW TO REDUCE CORRUPTION, not stories about PERSONALITIES, is what matters for the country!
Niceties apart, do you say about corruption without naming who is behind all these scams? Then it can be interpreted as baseless allegations. Has not Swamy learnt from his bitter experience a year ago in Ramalila Maidan?
Anna must workout for Air India and Indian Airlines pilot strike. The
strike has come to 26 th day today. Aviation Minister is irresponsible
and that is why he does't want to solve the controversy . Or he has some
aim to destroy the flag carrier .
It is not clear how Kejriwal has jumped to the conclusion that PM isto
be blamed for approving a proposal for allotment of coal blocks.such
decisions are normally taken after thorough examination of the proposals
through various channels including finance Deppt. Before a case goes to
the Minister secretary level officers examine it thoroughly.There is a
set procedure.Every detail is recorded.It is not correct to doubt every
proposal otherwise nothing can move.
There are many opposition to Anna Hazare than Ram Dev.In them some are
purposely aimed and others are fools .Purposely aimed oppositions are
likely be CIA'S helpers .
As Bard of Avon has said it long before "What's in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet" in Romeo and Juliet. Let the fifteen accused ministers prove that they are not corrupt and has not taken bribes, let CBI investigate independently.
