Threatens indefinite fast if SIT on Manmohan, 14 Ministers is not set up
Dismissing speculation about a rift among its core committee members, Team Anna on Saturday sought an independent Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged charges of corruption against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and 14 Ministers in his Cabinet. The charges, they claimed, were documented and part of CAG reports were already under the scrutiny of courts.
Quick to react, the Congress quashed the allegations as “unsubstantiated averments that need not be responded to.” And within hours of the statement by Team Anna, one of those named, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, categorically denied the charge.
Addressing a press conference here, the Team produced a list of six retired judges who could form part of the SIT which should give its findings by July 24, failing which Team Anna members would go on an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar here from July 25. This decision, they said, had the approval of social activist Anna Hazare, who is currently touring Maharashtra.
The Team has, for the first time, raised a finger directly at the Prime Minister, “under whose watch a major coal allocation scam took place which allowed private firms to make windfall gains,” as, they claimed, “was clear from the facts that are out in the public domain and the report of the CAG.”
“The Prime Minister has a clean image; then for whom was the money collected? Was it for the [Congress] party or for somebody,” asked Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal. He was accompanied on the dais by core committee members Shanti Bhushan, Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai.
With “15 out of 34 members of the Cabinet” facing allegations of one kind or another, “it is obvious that the Lokpal Bill will never be passed,” they said, pointing to the reference of the Bill to the Rajya Sabha Select Committee during the just-concluded Budget session of Parliament.
Besides Dr. Singh, the Ministers against whom Team Anna has demanded a probe include Pranab Mukherjee, P. Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal, Sharad Pawar, Mr. Krishna, Kamal Nath, Praful Patel, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Virbhadra Singh, Salman Khurshid, G.K. Vasan, Farooq Abdullah, M.K. Alagiri and Sushil Kumar Shinde.
They suggested that the government could select three judges to form the SIT from a panel of Justices Sudarshan Reddy, A.K. Ganguly, A.P. Shah, Kuldeep Singh, J.S. Verma and M. N. Venkatachaliah.
In a letter written to the Prime Minister, the Team members also sought fast-track courts to decide corruption charges against members of Parliament.
CBI cases against certain party leaders should also be handed over to the proposed SIT, they added.

Let's not point our fingers in choosing the righteous group. It not team anna vs the UPA. The point is, the way allegations are levied, showing the entire cabinet of the ruling party to be rotten is not something that is going to solve the big picture, the Corruption. We as people have the right to live in a society that is transperent in it operations and accountable to the people. Lets strive to bring in some laws that puts a check list to everything that the executive does and not drag such petty issues when even a lay man with no brains can strongly say that nothing is going to happen to the legendary heridatary gandhi led UPA. Team Anna to focus on getting the implementation on Lokpal is what brought people close to him and is the order of the day.
The reputation of the Congress-led UPA government has been so tarnished in the recent months that its continuance in office has become a huge embarrasment to the country. Nothing more needs to be said on this matter.
It's very clear from some of the comments here that we still have a lot of people who are blind to see that corruption is the root of all evil. They keep supporting Corrupt Congress on the pretext of Team Anna being immature or reckless or working with BJP etc. If you can remoe corruption and force politicians to focus on improving the country, rest of the issues with Cast/Religion will be resolved automatically. Even there Congress is worse than other parties as it has been playing Religion/Caste based politics for political benefits.

1 The question is not about name of people and parties or even the states, they are
fighting against. It's about corruption so, why don't they start from what's going on
now at the ministerial level.
2 Also, the question is not how clean team Anna is, but it's about, are their
allegations against ministers are true or not, apparently which is quite clear. But, the
investigation they are demanding is just to make the allegations come to light as
reality to all of you who feel team Anna is group of deceivers.
team anna is not accusing pm of taking a bribe.they are accusing him of turning a blind eye to obvious cases of dubious acts smelling of corruption by his ministers.they are giving documentary evidences culled out from auditor general reports and other sources.
such charges cannot be ignored.dr manmohansingh must order an independent investigation and let the truth come out,instead of making bald denials,especially as his refusal to allow a probe will strengthen doubts in the minds of the people of the country.
@Mr Mani Sandilya: Why is it an utopian dream to curb (if not totally
eradicate) corruption in high places? As officers lower down are
alleged to collect bribes for their senior officers / political
masters, unless the people at the top are deterred from persisting
with illegal actions, can corruption lower down be prevented by the
ordinary citizens, individually?
When citizens AS A GROUP are failing to get systemic changes
introduced (eg e-governance, greater transparency etc), how realistic
is it to expect the hapless citizens to fight this battle singly?
Is such advice a pretext, and all those who put all the blames on the
'poor morals' of the citizens (already ground down under poverty,
inflation and so on) a ploy, to kill the anti-corruption movement at
birth?
Nothing will change in India unless the citizens can unite to curb
national plunder and endemic corruption with impunity, to preserve
India for their children/grandchildren. TIME TO THINK & ACT ACCORDING

I am using this space to make a plea to Team Anna. Please teach the people not to pay bribes from the lowest end of the spectrum. It is an utopian dream to stop corruption at high places but the ones at the grassroot level can be stopped. School Admissions, Ration Cards, Motor Vehicles, Traffic police , corporation officials, electricity boards and scores of other organisations under Govt which transact with the comman man/woman everyday are the hotbeds of corruption which is gnawing away the fabric of our society. Team Anna should unite the people under 'I will not pay bribe for what is my right' banner.
Serious allegations have been made against the serving PM and 14 Cabinet Ministers, and yet most other Indian newspapers are silent!!! Why??? Surely, if the allegations are false the accusers ought to be prosecuted, and if the allegations are not false then the accused must be investigated!!! How is the Indian media (other than The Hindu) discharging its duty to its readers and the citizens of the country at large by ignoring the serious allegations that are out in the public domain - for everyone in the world to read? It is clear that Indian democracy cannot survive without The Hindu.
Has the Manmohan Singh government any credibility whatsoever? "Not at all" is the obvious answer. What a pity that we have to bear this situation for another two years!
The moment UPA loses the elections and NDA comes to power, the same people who were virulently against Team Anna will support him and Team Anna asks for Jan Lok pal bill. It takes easy for these people to switch sides because of the primordial loyalties they are born with and these loyalties including support to a political party which is perceived as our kind. I hope those who support the movement now will continue to support even when the opposition comes to power (as for some its their favorite political party) and not go the way some people are going here just because of the primordial loyalties.
Mr. Prime Minister might be honest and straight forward man. But he got himself entangled in dirty politics and bent on taking detrimental steps under pressure from other powerful ministers/ lobbies, ultimately becoming a indirect party to corruption. Team Anna lacks the same 'firebrand ism' and now is on low ebb. They might have succumbed to high profile lobbying of top-notch businessmen, other affluent social workers and politicians. There are no notable development/results from his actions and agitations despite huge ''common-man'' support. Lately, he could not live up to the expectations of people. From my view, people support has now notably withered away.
Our PM who was the non-corrupt face of UPA has now come out corrupt as corruption doesnt means making money for ourself but it also means making way for other for making money.
One wonders are we living in a "LAND,Governed By LAW" or in a land where protests, fasts and civil commotions 'achieve their objects'!As per Art.151 of the Constitution the CAG is obliged to keep his 'audit reports' a secret till he submits them to President and who "causes them to be laid before each house of Parliament"! How in the regime of the present incumbent media gets copies of CAG reports,even before they are so laid before Parliament?It is high time Govt. of India causes the NIS to carry out the probe and put an end to this menace.
Looks like those who are out to criticise Team Anna, are mere armchair intellectuals, who do not have the courage or guts to get into teh field and 'DO', which Team Anna is doing. If 'Team Anna' is so called 'corrupt' let the Lok Pal Bill hang them as well!! But, to say that they are 'corrupt' and should NOT raise their voice against the massive loot of the state (if any) is sheer nonsense. Common man never had faith in the governments/politicians and they would never have in future as well, unless the common man/women/people themselves change and ensure a change in the society! After all, the politician is a product of the same raw material that the society has (as people)!!
In a democracy, public opinion plays a major role in the administration of the country through legislation. The executive is bound to obey the public opinion and mend himself according to the opinion. Pressure groups normally expresses the opinion of the people. If the politicians who are responsible for the administration of the country are to blame solely for the ultimate failure of democracy,if they are not heeding these appeals. Any backlash from the people will clean off the politicians.

Then how and why do they expect this government to form SIT. These allegations can brought to Courts(SC or HCs). But we all know how that works out. Thought by raising these issues public awareness would increase. By raising finger directly to PM, this does give a hard blow to clean image of Dr. Singh which congress uses as shield.

Shouldn't the Govt. order a proper inquiry when charges of this scale is leveled against its main people, instead of just simply rebutting it. Sorry, Congress the people of India has lost faith in you.
For all the hatred that some misguided people on this forum, Some questions to ponder. what do you call a person who abets a crime by a simple act of silence? If Team Anna is nuisance, can't we ignore him rather than discredit him? If Team Anna is corrupt, what would it get by demanding a bill on corruption, wouldn't they be the first to go in the docks? Isn't their tirades against corruption (or in congress loyalists terms nuisance) is what has turned our attention to corruption, without Anna aren't we talking some silly like Aishwarya's obesity? how come cases suddently slapped on Team Anna just after they begun this movement? Will demanding every legitimate right (like corrupt free governance) is illegal and only way to get it is fighting elections (most silliest argument)? why would the Government have to be silent? has government taken single step in countering this evil? Isn't it only bcoz of courts intervening that Raja had to be jailed? should we wait for another 42 years?
I don't think Team Anna is entirely wrong to raise demand for a probe against ministers and MPs but that should be correctly timed. Merely the fact that the UPA is now cornered with a host of issues ranging from economic slowdown to political rift within the alliance does not guarantee that such move will bear fruit. The system itself is not geared to ensure a free and fair investigation against the accused as they represent an elite group of politicians. Team Anna cannot be oblivious to this reality. They can't act as if they already have a Lokpal in place. The wisest thing for them will be to stick to their earlier demand for a robust anti-corruption institution and till that's achieved, refrain from taking any step that makes them look like an ambitious political opposition trying to fish in the troubled water. If they continue to do so without any success under their belt they will only raise questions with regard to their capacity to deliver and fritter away whatever they gained.
Personally, I would have liked prime minister to respond by appointing a commission of inquiry comprising retired judges and asking them to investigate the 15 ministers named by the Anna team and to report within a specified period - no extensions. If any of the ministers were found guilty, they should resign forthwith and action should be taken against them according to law. If the inquiry found no wrong-doing, then the Anna team should have been proceeded against with a charge of criminal defamation.
Satymeva Jayathe is the basis on which Indian Constitution was written and the so called Indian Government is supposed to function and the members of the parliament and public servents are supposed to function in their performance of their dutiesbe and after getting elected are required and expected to live by that principle of Satymeva Jayathe as laid down in the first page of the constitution, The politicians of today have crossed that lakshamna rakha of observeing the principles of satymeva jayathe. The parliament will be supreme and paliamentarians are supreme only if they are one of supreme in everything in their duties, commitment to noble cause and knowledge in all aspects of like and literature and history of india and are of spotless character. They are none of thse types mentioned and simply got elected through deception and misleading and misrepresenting of themselves to the public different from what they actually are. Hey man, all he is interested in getting a strong Lokpal.
Let the people in power become corrupt-free and enact laws to stop others, team Anna has always explained, this is their intent. Still why so many raise questions, seem to loose logic and throw dirt on team Anna??
I think it is a right move by team Anna, not only these ministers but many others have to be probed. Ms Mayawati during filing the nomination for Rajya Sabha declared her assets worth 111 cr and no one questioned about this to her. This is the time for the people of India to take initiative in the right direction which team Anna is following. RTI should will be a good weapon for this.
In Today's publication, you have failed to publish the full details of
what Team Anna has asked for. Team Anna wanted to conduct inquiry
against the former Chief Ministers and the present Chief Minister of
Tamil Nadu. Why you have selectively published the text of the Team
Anna? The Team Anna should begin fight against corruption which is
seen at all places. The Ministers alone are not corrupt. The fight
should be against all ills including corruption, tax evasion etc. I am
of the opinion that no legislation will bring any change unless the
provisions are implemented without fear or favour. We should try to
change the mind set of the people at large to make everyone to become
law abiding citizens.
All the members of the Team Anna consider themselves above board and are creating chaos in the country at a time when our country is facing economic crisis. They are not allowing the Govt. to function. Unseating the present Govt. is at the hands of the people who will decide firmly at the time of Election. If the Team Anna so desires, let them form a political outfit to cleanse the present system.
The impression one gets from the talk of Anna Hazare team is that corruption is the only major issue that India is facing. I along with many secularists in this country strongly suspect that there is a tacit connection between the “India Against Corruption Movement” and the RSS/BJP group. How much so over loudly Anna Hazare team denies it, it is not convincing to many people in this country. I do not understand Congress-bashing by Anna Hazare team leaders, especially Mr. Anna Hazare, when they remain silent about corruption in other parties mainly in the BJP. Anna team is concerned only about corruption in the Congress and UPA. Given BJP’s short period in governance both at the center and the states compared to the Congress’ 60 years rule, one could see that BJP is in no way less corrupt than the Congress. Anna team appears to many, as anti-Congress and anti-movement rather than anti-corruption movement.
Team Anna (Is it a TEAM ?)will not rest till the present Govt is dislodged, who has initiated steps on corrupt politicians from their own party / allies and sent to Jail. The TEAM is bent upon installing a Kicchadi GOVT with minimum 10 Prime Minister aspirants (with just 25 MPs each) and make a strong India who can face the current Global economic crisis. Neither UPA Nor MS is going to change the way they are working. Best
solution for you (us) is to knock the doors of the courts on
individual cases with all evidences you have and request the courts to
intervene just like what happened in 2G spectrum allocation scam
brought to limelight by Dr. Swamy. This process is slow but
irreversible in punishing the wrongdoers. With the strong public and
media support you have in India, it is better if you can create an
organization / system to collect evidences of such corruption cases
and act on them through judiciary.
Every statement of Teamanna has a spin with a purpose. Why they approach media with clinching evidence instead judiciary to mislead public with allegations? For TeamAnna the infamous gang of four this is an appropriate time to jump into politics and manipulate common man!! Why to hide behind the veil of civil society where political masters are pulling your loose strings whenever they blunders in public (Recent BJ party Fiasco in Mumbai)? Your N number of NGOs will receive ample financial supports from foreign fund to manipulate public policies in favor of western economic powers. The allegations levelled by Anna Team against the key leaders of UPA
government are quite grave and serious and requires immediate, and
complete and impartial investigation. But on reading some of the
reader responses, it is depressing to find that people are bringing
issues unrelated to the corruption charges,such as Gujarat riots of
2002. Two wrongs do not make one right. The team anna allegations are
not related to social issues but they are related to basic governance
of the country. People who raise gujarat riots issue in this context
are probably trying to defend the UPA governance by usual techniques
of deflect, accuse, abuse and distort facts. Sadly it wont work now.
The citizens of India have lost their faith in our rulers and the onus
is on the government to disprove itself.
Team Anna should desist from dictating terms to an elected Govt. They
should not try to preach their own Law to the country and challenge
everyone in the UPA or its out side supporters. In the next few days, no
wonder, this gang will come up with a list of persons of their choice as
PM, CM and Ministers. They unwittingly or wantonly entering / inviting a

Extending fullest support
Team Anna is proving it again and again that they do not believe in
democracy. They are going against the fundamentals of the constitution
and adopting a dictatorial line.They have the cheek to decide who should
be in the panel of judges while there is an elected government in place.
Individuals like Anna Hazare have no place so long as we believe in
democracy.
PM is one of the most honest and sincere politician living today. Even
opposition parties and his strongest critics like Subramanian Swamy
accepts this fact. This is nothing but another shameless attempt by team
anna to stay relevant by making dubious and baseless charges against
hundreds of ministers. In today's time, people feed on negativity and it
is very easy to paint everybody through same brush and indulge in mud-
slinging.
The fact that Team Anna has levelled corruption charges on the Prime Minister is a matter of great concern. It may be a publicity stunt by Team Anna but the fact remains Manmohan Singh is presiding over a cabinet wherein honesty is at a premium. Even by having a Nelsons Eye to the going on in his cabinet Manmohan is equally culpable. The fact that each ministry is an independent fiefdom cannot be disputed.
The only honest people and paragons of all virtue in India, perhaps in the whole world, are Anna Hazare and his team! Why don’t they form a party, fight election, form the next government, eradicate poverty, establish a totally corruption free India, and usher in India into a golden era of prosperity for all, full of honest and angel-like people like the members of Anna Hazare team? Make Anna Hazare PM, Prashant Bhushan FM, Kiran Bedi HM, Arvind Kejriwal HRDM and perhaps Baba Ramdev EM!! Please give Indians an opportunity to experience good and efficient governance, and spread your philosophy of good governance to the whole world!!! The world needs such honest, angel-like, and most efficient people like the Anna team to solve the myriads of problems that the world faces today!!!!
When justice and law is sold ... to the people sitting in the parliament .. there is no other option then what team IAC is doing now .. and common man should support it....It's another freedom struggle for the whole country against this totally corrupt Govt. If lokpal was there these scams would not have taken place...and corrupt ministers would not enjoying on bail... time has come when we all should unite and fight for corruption.. it's not just against one Govt. or few ministers ... it's for our country's safe future..and also ... a base for the upcoming Govt. to build a corruption free environment...
Team Anna is diluting its efforts.
It is utmost important that 1st of all Team Anna have clear their own
names & come out clean before pointing a finger at others, their
attitude all against congress is questionable, by the way we must know
kejriwal has paid the penalty for tax, Ms Kiran Bedi runs a NGO which
does not provide ant free service instead she enjoys the benefit from
it funds to fly by air,Mr Anna Hazare is frequent flier at the cost of
money form the public & makes trips in Air conditioned cars beside not
respect for the constitution & the parliament as an institution-while
it is true public is fed up of corruption but the approach of team
Anna is only weakening the system instead of strengthening it to
handle the issues Team Anna has not pointed any issue against BJP so
far ..why?

I lost all the good opinion I had on my PM long before. A non elected, legally fixed native from Assam, has shown he has all the virtues of corrupt. Unlike his ex-boss PV NarasimhaRao - a leader who should have given the credits of opening the economy, we have an implementer (MMS) given the credits. He has never show the leadership qualities - owning bad decisons to himself and good ones to their subordiantes. He is still an implementor of someones decisions.
To me personally, the popularity of entire 2G campaign looked like a
strategy to discredit the traditionally weaker sections of Hindu
Society, who were asserting their political & social rights after
centuries of oppression. The traditionally powerful forces seemed to
utilize the two pillars of democracy (Judiciary & Fourth Estate) where
they still have dominant voice.
In fact, the selective bashing of Raja, KG Balakrishnan, Bangaru
Laxman only accentuated this suspicion. The 'Ambedkar Cartoon Controversy' can be seen as a counter-reaction of this trust deficit.
As stated by Mr. Nagarajan above, it might be better if 'Team Anna'
takes the traditional route of democracy through election to correct
whatever grievances they perceive.
Already policies are put in cold storage due to lack of support from
opposition party and even from the govt's own allies, leading to
economic crisis in India. Here, the team Anna by accusing 14 cabinet
ministers lays perfect platform for the situation to get deteriorated further. These 14 ministers will have to take much more time than usual to sign any deal/policy or even the worst not to think of the new policy at all. Team Anna has to understand the fact that policy making is not like doing business in court where everything is followed as per well established law.

1) Criticizing the UPA govt doesnt mean they are supporting BJP.. How lame is this point - "Oh they are accusing congressman..then they r definetly supporting BJP " Come on guys Anna Hazare went to Bangalore for Lokayukta fight and he criticized the BJP govt..I was present there.
2) they are criticizing the ruling govt not the UPA govt.. Ruling govt is mainly responsible to pass Jan Lok pal bill..thats why they are pressurising on ruling govt..
3) Just take it on urself..You have been doing all good things in ur life..nd for few bad mistakes..everyone start criticizng u..and nobody supports u after that..Its such a bad thing..These people brought RTI's in every state and at the centre..And wat Anna ji did to ralegon Siddhi u and me just cannot even imagine how he brought the change..
N Nagarajan is dead wrong. One does not have to be in politics to fight corruption. He seems to be a blind follower of the UPA government or it's components. He seems to talk of "sanctions", "processes", and "procedures". This is nothing but a way to hide behind these technicalities, while still being corrupt.
14 ministers (plus the PM) facing allegations of corruption is a very
sad state of affairs indeed but not shocking. What is shocking is the
so-called literate audience (some of who wrote comments above) making
such absurd claims as: a) fighting corruption is pushing the nation in
the wrong direction, b) one could fight corruption only if s/he contest
in elections and win a majority and c) fighting corruption is something
that only affects the elite.
I suspect one of these days we may need to fight and win elections
before to even speak our mind.
Team Anna's holier than thou attitude is becoming nauseating and their credibility is fast becoming questionable since they seem to be notoriously silent on corruption charges against BJP leaders such as Yedduyruppa. The movement against corruption is fast losing its direction due to the mishandling of the people's support they garnered a few months ago. They are exasperating the Indian citizenry by their whimsical allegations which seem to be aimed at grabbing just media headlines. Of course, Indians are very much concerned about corruption in public life. But in the name of fighting corruption, degrading democratic norms, degrading the Indian constitution and arrogating itself as the sole representative civil society to do so by Team Anna cannot be accepted. In fact people are equally concerned about other social, communal and economical issues that need to be dealt with seriously. Let not Team Anna be given more importance in public discourse.They seem to deserve less attention.

It looks like all those who are corrupt or who support corruption are writing comments against Team Anna and all those who want to see a corruption-free India are supporting Team Anna.
I am going to wait and see which group has a majority in India. My guess is supporters of corruption are in majority, which explains why corruption is so widespread in India.
Manmohan Singh and the UPA leaders should be investigated by an International independent body for the collaboration with the SL Rajapakse regime that committed war crimes and human rights abuses against the minority Tamils.
Given the kinds of demands that Team Anna is making every second day, it seems they are confused or perhaps tired of sticking to one particular objective at a time. Making a series of demands of probe against ministers and MPs, who almost always are from the ruling Congress, will not achieve anything in real terms apart from providing those at the receiving end enough opportunity to discredit the movement as politically motivated. Team Anna must first get its priorities right. Their demand for a Lokpal has not seen the light of the day. It should singularly concentrate on that particular objective and show people the result before branching its movement out to fight other social evils. People's patience and enthusiasm is not infinite, it will soon fizzle out if Team Anna continue to hit dead ends with ambitious demands.
It is a serious matter warranting a comprehensive probe,since the allegations cannot be simply ruled out.Given the intensity of the corruption cases,involving most of the cabinet ministers at the centre being unearthed day in and day out,this allegation cannot be taken light,in view of the denial of congress party stalwarts.If not,the govt would lose the trust of the people in it.Apparently,such a probe could unearth the facts of the allegations to its logical conclusions.If the allegations are proved false,stringent action,as per law could be initiated against the ANNA TEAM.That also would help people understand the motives of the so called ANNA TEAM.
To remove the popularity created by these corrupt politicians make a rule that the age of any political party will be max 10 years. After that a new name will be given to the party.The party's general secretary should satisfy the election commission by an interview about the rules of the organization.This is in view of the fact that most of the MP s from cong and BJP do not know what are their party's motto. After 10 yrs the party general secretary should compulsorily live in govt hostel for 2 yrs.
I never vote in elections because I do not have any faith in the politicians. I seriously want to exercise my democratic right "none of the above" to teach the politicians that I do not like their corrupt practices. If they are not corrupt then why they are not constituting the SIT as proposed by Team Anna. Long live Team Anna
What can we expect from Mr Manish Tiwari?His job is to blindly deny any
charges against congressmen and make reckless counter charges against
the accusers,in the process displaying high degree of arrogance. Sarkari
dogs will not catch VVIP thieves. People believe that PM is responsible
for the scams.An honest probe will reveal the involvement of many VVIPs
in one scam or another.
'Be close to power centre,commit frauds,share the booty,live happily
forever'is the reality.People's last[not lost]hope is on courts.
In any other democracy of the world, a Government and leaders responsible for corruption and scandals at this scale, would have resigned by now.
Yet another pathetic attempt by these idiots to stay relevant. Does anyone even care
about these people anymore? They are yesterday's news, fully exposed when the
charges against them of financial impropriety came to light.
I think, it requires lot of guts to openly name these big fishes!
So my compliments to this Team of senior gentlemen.
We all know that the system is corrupt today and the only way to stop this is to grab the culprits who are in the thick of power and influence and be punished.

Instead of responding to the allegations leveled against Congress
Government, Mr Tiwari chose to point finger on Mr Kejriwal and Team
Anna. This is a very strong indication that the charges leveled by
Team Anna indeed hold a strong ground.
This Congress Government is most corrupt and shameless government,
and I am sure that they will not initiate any inquiry against the
ministers who has been named in the charge-sheet presented by Team
Anna. Instead the corrupt government will try to device evil ways to
put pressure on Team Anna.
Now the only hope is The People Of India, It is high time that we as
a nation should stand up against the corruption of this government.
We should put pressure on this government to initiate the inquiry
against these ministers.
As all of us know about the credibility of CBI, SIT will be the best
option for this inquiry.

Whatever the merits of the charges, I just can't let a motley crowd, even if headed by a saint, to dictate the future of the country.
Let the gang formally enter Politics, contest and win a majority. Even then the practices, procedures and law they want to enact has to have a proper sanction.
What's now being practiced is Anarchy; Kejriwal and co has a choice- follow the Swamy route and go for public interest litigation.
Now, whatever they are attempting is only serving the limited purpose of the so called Elite going ga-ga on Anna and his team.
And this elite is a miniscule fraction of India.
They should have also sought an enquiry commission to be instituted to probe the SIT led by R.K.Raghavan which gave in their final report a clean chit to Narendra Modi in the Gujarat pogrom.Their final report coolly contradicts their own findings against Modi recorded by them with all honesty, in their initial report and it remains a mystery what paved the way for the exoneration of Modi from all grievous charges against him recorded with evidence!The entire world which is aware of what really happened in Gujarat remain shell shocked at the blatantly one sided report of the SIT!Let Team Anna take up this issue also and fight for justice to the poor victims of the Gujarat pogrom, post Godhra incident.

Team Anna's fight aganist corruption reminds me of Don Quixote from Miguel de Cervantes novel. Team Anna seems to be too idealistic and reckless in their fight aganist corruption. They seems to believe that everyone else is corrupt. I think they went too far in accusing 14 ministers and are playing towards gallery. Corruption is a complex issue and is multidimentional in nature. It can not be solved overnight. Setting up of an all powerful lokpal or coming up with allegations aganist those who in power won't wipe out corrption. Dictating the terms and members of SIT to probe aganist the ministers they allegae to be corrupt is not only acceptable but also undemocratic.
Team Anna only created the disturbances in the country and nothing to
do. The Anna and his team members protect the corruption but it was
going upwards to the anti congress or anti UPA Govt. Anna should
decided what is right and wrong. There have any prove against the
corrupted ministers they should file FIR against the 13 corrupted
ministers. Pls kindly help for the common people when we are faced the
lot of problems in the state govt. offices.
I think the Anna Hazare team members have no credibility to finger others,as their team members like Mr,Kejriwal,Mr,Bhushan and Ms,Bedi are also charged with mishandling the funds.These people are charged with misappropriation of funds in their respective NGO's and

Its a smart move by team Anna.It has made it relevant again. The general perception
among people about politician, bureaucrats is that they are all corrupt.
Several journalists and activists, probing the coal scam have allready called for a probe against Dr.Manmohan singh. This is nothing new. But the demand seems to get stronger.
May i remind Manish Tiwari that Abhishek Singhvi had also displayed such shameless arrogance,till he fell down with a thud.
If you assume that you are not answerable to the electorate we will teach you the simple truth at the next polls.
