Anu Pushkarna passes away

Anu Pushkarna, Principal News Photographer with The Hindu , died here on Thursday following a heart attack. He was 58.

Before joining The Hindu in 1991, Mr. Pushkarna had worked for Midday and Sun . He covered a wide range of political, general and sports assignments, including the Himalayan Car Rally.

A popular figure in the fraternity because of his friendly and helpful nature, Mr. Pushkarna had earned several sobriquets from his colleagues and friends. Mr. Pushkarna is survived by his wife Kanchan, a school teacher, and son Mayank.
