Speculation about Defence Minister A.K. Antony contesting the Lok Sabha elections from a seat of his choice in Kerala has been put to rest.

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) V.M. Sudheeran told a news conference here on Sunday that Mr. Antony had “instructed” him to inform the media that he will not be in the fray this poll season.

Mr. Sudheeran’s statement came in response to questions about the possibility of the Congress fielding Mr. Antony and Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi in the elections.

“Many of you have been reporting about such a possibility, but Antony has instructed me to tell you that he will not be in the fray,” a smiling Mr. Sudheeran said.

Great service to the country. Mr.Antony's contribution has been
very well certified by his own colleague Mr.P.Chidambaram. Loyalty
to Sonia is the only factor which gave him the most vital defence department. He was not totally not aware of the all corruptions
by all people, above and below him. Navy has suffered great loss
and he is primarily responsible for all the intrusion in our borders.
To the best of my knowledge, Mr.George Fernandez is the best
and Mr.AK Antony is the worst Defence Minister the country ever
had.He has lost all goodwill he earned as CM of Kerala.

Whether it is his own decision or the decision of the congress high command has been
imposed upon him is not known.Whatever it may be it is a wise move. He can be considered
as advisor for defence forces

For the good work he has done in Defence, perhaps, he will now come to Rajya sabha, as an nominated senior member of MP{.and may even continue as Defence Minister, as no other ministry can be best suited to him.He remains one ofthe important member of UPA till he thinks of his retirment in politics.

Congratulations,Mr.Antony.I hope more old politicians like LK Adani,MM Joshi ,
Janardhan Poojary, Sharad Pawar follow his lead and allow more younger leaders to
take the lead. Retire in dignity and unbelievable wealth and avoid greed to bring up
a dynasty.

Such old leaders should step down gracefully and not continue in
positions of Power. Mr.Anthony though an honest Minister could
not grsp the intricacies involved in solving Defence problems. He
has left the Defence Forces in a very bad shape both in terms of
materials and morale
