Anil Dave: Condolences from political leaders

Dave complained of uneasiness at his home this morning and was rushed to AIIMS where he passed away.

Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave passed away on Thursday. He was 60.

Mr. Dave complained of uneasiness at his home this morning and was rushed to AIIMS where he passed away, according to official sources.

Condolence messages

"Shocked by sudden demise of Union Environment Minister Shri Anil Dave; deepest condolences to his family & well wishers. His valuable contributions to the cause of environmental   protection shall  always be remembered," tweets President Pranab Mukherjee.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tweeted saying "Deeply shocked & saddened by demise of my colleague, Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave ji. May God render peace to the departed soul."

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted saying "Deeply shocked to learn about sudden demise of respected Environment & Forests Minister Shri Anil Madhav Dave Ji. May his soul rest in peace."

Former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh condoled the demise of Union Minister for Environment Anil Dave.

Describing the Dave as a “very nice man,” Mr. Ramesh in his condolence message remembered the support Dave had extended to him during his stint as Environment Minister in the previous Congress-led UPA government.

BJP president Amit Shah tweeted saying "Shocked and deeply pained by the sudden demise of our senior leader Shri Anil Madhav Dave ji. Deepest condolences to his family & friends."

"As Environment Minister, the contribution of Sh. Anil Madhav Dave ji has been unparalleled. He leaves behind a deep void," tweeted Union Minister Maneka Gandhi.

BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted "Had the privilege of working very closely with Anil Madhav Dave ji on several issues including cleaner fuels. We will miss him a lot."

"Shocked and extremely sad to know the sudden demise of my colleague Sri Anil Madhav Dave ,Environment Minister. My heartfelt condolences," tweets Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted "Anil Madhav Dave ji was a real nature lover , had a vision of protecting environment & ensuring development."

"Anil Madhav Daveji was a respected colleague, highly dedicated and committed to national and humanistic causes. An unbearable loss," tweeted Sadananda Gowda.

Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore tweeted saying "Shocked & saddened by the sudden demise of our environment minister Anil Madhav Dave ji. He was a prolific worker & a wonderful human being."

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi tweeted saying "V.sad to learn of the sudden demise of Union Min Anil Madhav Daveji. He worked tirelessly for Narmada conservation. My condolences to his fmly."

Parshottam Rupala tweeted "I will miss dear friend & cabinet colleague Anil Daveji a devoted public servant & an environmentalist. May god rest his soul in peace."
