Check illegal layouts, Ayyanna tells officials

Minister for Panchayat Raj and RWS Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu has asked the officials to check the mushrooming of illegal layouts in villages and to ensure that house taxes are collected promptly. Besides, electricity has to be saved.

Addressing a meeting of Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officers, District Panchayat Officers and District Water Management Agencies’ project directors at Andhra Pradesh Academy of Rural Development here on Tuesday, Mr Ayyanna Patrudu said due priority should be given to cleanliness. Dumping yards have to be readied in 659 village panchayats by the end of the month. “Minister for Rural Development K. Murnalini, Panchayat Raj Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy, Rural Development Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu and others were present.
