Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) timed the resignation of its MPs in such a way that elections for those constituencies could not be held in the present juncture and asked whether it was not part of the attempts to save YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy from corruption cases.

He questioned why action should not be taken action against Mr. Reddy for indulging in massive corruption.

Addressing media persons on the occasion of his completing four years in office as the CM, Mr. Naidu asserted that the BJP which cheated the State and the YSRCP which joined its conspiracy would meet the same fate as the Congress.

He alleged that Mr. Reddy was getting the cases against him weakened by colluding with the BJP and together they accused the TDP of failing to develop the State and availing the assistance which the Central government claimed to have extended.

“It was in the interest of the people that I entered into an alliance with the BJP and bid adieu to it four years later,” he said.

Satisfaction level

On his four-year rule, Mr. Naidu said 77% of people were satisfied with his government and that it targeted a higher level of contentment by focussing on speed and efficiency of the public services.

He stated that construction of houses for the poor, drinking water schemes and Swachha Andhra Pradesh were among the programmes that gave him the maximum satisfaction.

Polavaram project

Mr. Naidu said he is going to declare the completion of diaphragm wall at Polavaram project on June 11 and that the cofferdam was in advanced stages.
