YSR Congress Party MLC Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy has said that though he quit as the party coordinator of the Vizianagaram Assembly constituency he would remain active and loyal to the YSRCP.

Mr. Swamy said in a release late on Sunday evening that he quit the party Assembly coordinator post due to ‘personal reasons’ and also because he was ‘unable to work with local leaders as the situation in the Vizianagaram Assembly constituency is not conducive’. He also declared that he was not in the race for the party ticket for the 2019 Assembly elections.

He said that he had posted a letter to this effect to party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Mr. Swamy maintained that he had no differences with former Minister Botcha Satyanarayana. However, the groups led by him and Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana hold meetings separately. Interestingly, Mr. Swamy is also the coordinator of the party for North Andhra districts.
