March 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - HYDERABAD:

YSR Congress members staged a walkout from Assembly on Friday resenting the arrest and booking of non-bailable sections against CPI leaders during a recent dharna in Anantapur.

Making a mention of the issue during zero hour, Leader of Opposition Y. S Jagan Mohan Reddy said CPI State general secretary Ramakrishna and others were peacefully staging a dharna in protest against the indifferent attitude of the Centre and for not upholding its commitments towards Andhra Pradesh.

Faulting the government for arresting and booking cases under non-bailable sections, he sought a statement from the government on the issue.

Mr. Jagan said YSRC was staging a walkout to express solidarity with the arrested CPI activists.
