YSRC demands return of land resumed from APNGOs

July 04, 2014 08:17 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 05:38 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Taking strong objection to the Telangana government resuming 189 acres of land allotted earlier to the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association, YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday demanded that it be given back to them.

In a press release, he said it was not proper for the government to resume the said land, pointing out that the allocation was made two decades ago for the construction of houses. He said government employees had already plotted the land and spent crores on internal roads and other civic amenities.

Mr. Reddy said that if the Telangana government wanted to allocate land to someone, it could look at alternatives available. He said that if there were problems on this issue, the AP government should intervene and support APNGOs.
