The YSR Congress has demanded that the Government come out with a white paper on the foreign tours of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, incorporating the details of investments that have been made and the projects grounded ever since the TDP took over the reins.

The YSR Congress has ridiculed the claims of the Chief Minister that the State is flooded with investments following his visits to several countries, including the latest trip to Russia.

“The Government should publish a white paper on the investment flow and the projects that have actually been grounded if the Government is firm on its claims. The white paper would call the bluff of the Chief Minister, who has been using the tours to promote his image,” YSR Congress MLA G. Srikanth Reddy said.

He said that the countries from which Mr. Naidu had been claiming flow of investments were in fact looking for investments in their respective territories. The Chief Minister had been harping on the 15 lakh acre land bank and 970-km coastline claiming that the State was open for building ports and promoting port-led industrial development.

The tall claims of Mr. Naidu had been exposed as not even one per cent of the projects assured in the CII summit in Visakhapatnam were grounded till date, he said.

While this was the actual situation, it was ridiculous on the part of Mr. Naidu to claim that all nuclear power plants were being shifted from Gujarat to Srikakulam.

In fact, a study sponsored by the Central government had said that Andhra Pradesh was the most corrupt State, Mr. Srikanth Reddy said.
